A message from our founder, Dr. Jack R. Doney, M.D.

  As a doctor living and practicing medicine in Miami, OK and the Joplin, MO area since 1980, I have come to recognize that treating patients with weight problems is not as easy as just preaching or lecturing to them about eating less and exercising more.

Obesity is a disease which I do not believe anyone consciously chooses. Fighting the challenges of this disease can be very frustrating and a life long struggle for some people.  So in my practice, I decided to start treating obesity, medically as well as conventionally, and this was the initial premise for what is today SlimVision Weight Loss Center.

Overeating and/or poor eating habits can become an addiction which we believe needs to be addressed on an individualized patient care basis.
